Overview

2025 has been off to a great start. We’ve been making strides to deliver the best experiences to you through new developments and enhancements. This month, we are excited to introduce the new Companies tab, an upgraded Taxonomy Manager, new fact objects, enhanced capabilities in Ask Athena, and more. These additions will help you:

• Conveniently monitor companies of strategic importance
• Categorize and tag your collected intel more efficiently
• Derive greater value from Ask Athena with advanced features

Introducing Companies Tab

 

We recently introduced the new Companies tab, which gives you an intuitive way to simplify and centralize your company-monitoring activities within Contify platform.

This new addition allows you to conveniently monitor companies of strategic importance—competitors, customers, partners, suppliers, key accounts, and more without any effort or complex workflows.  

You can organize them into custom lists, enabling quick access to relevant intelligence updates.

With the Companies tab, you can easily:

• Create and manage company lists through a simple, intuitive interface.
• Add multiple companies efficiently from Contify’s extensive database, ensuring comprehensive monitoring.
• Receive targeted, noise-free updates on key companies directly in your newsfeed, so you can focus on insights that matter most.
• Fetch historical data of the companies you add to track.

Upgraded Taxonomy Manager

 

We’ve recently upgraded the Taxonomy Manager in Contify. Previously known as the Taxonomy Builder, this upgraded version offers greater flexibility in structuring, organizing, and managing your intelligence content.

With this update, you can now better categorize and filter intelligence in your curated newsfeeds, making it easier to access the most relevant and actionable information quickly.

The new Taxonomy Manager allows you to:

• Create category groups and subcategories to help organize and manage your intel updates.
• Manage intelligence topics, and company-specific updates distinctively.
• Efficiently reorder categories and groups for personalized navigation.

With the upgraded Taxonomy Manager, you can customize your intelligence taxonomy efficiently to fit your business context, ensuring delivery of structured, noise-free, and actionable intelligence.

New Fact Objects: Conferences/Events, Conferences/Events Participation

We’ve introduced two new fact objects—Conferences/Events, and Conferences/ Events Participation. 

The Conferences/Events object automatically gathers key data points from the events hosted by your monitored companies, including ‘Event Organizer,’ ‘Event Type,’ ‘Start Date,’ ‘End Date,’ and ‘Customer Segment,’ along with a summary.

The Conferences/Events Participation object collects key data points related to the events in which the companies you monitor participate. It records ‘Participant Company,’ ‘Event Name,’ ‘Participation Type,’ and a summary.

By utilizing these captured facts:

• Contify auto-generates timeline charts for your monitored companies’ conferences and events.

• Generates deep insights into your monitored companies’ event participation strategies.

These fact objects addition further strengthen your intelligence program by turning event information into actionable, structured insights that you can utilize to plan your marketing campaigns, partnerships, and sponsorship activities.

New in Ask Athena: Retrieve Answers from Web

Contify’s Ask Athena (formerly Copilot) can now generate instant answers sourced exclusively from the open web. Under ‘Ask Athena’ tab, select ‘Web Search’ as your ‘Focus Area’, and Ask Athena will provide responses directly from the internet.

Retrieved responses can be added as new insights, or you can update your existing insights with them. 

This update ensures quick and direct access to real-time, publicly available information, empowering you with timely insights without leaving your workflow.

UI/UX Improvements

Alongside new features, we’ve made several UI/UX improvements aimed at simplifying navigation and optimizing your workflow. Here are some of these improvements:

• New visual outlook of Newsfeed filters, featuring companies and smart filters separately for better navigation.
• Placement of story updates statuses just below the count of updates in easily accessible tabs. 
• Status of particular stories is now accessible on the story card.

Usability Enhancements

We are also working hard to enhance and adjust many things to elevate your overall product experience. Here are some of them:

• Ability to generate title from the field intel update easily with AI-generated titles.
• Addition of marquee bar on top of the platform window, that provides all the essential platform updates, ensuring you never miss an update in your account.
• Ability to search for companies in dashboard widgets via company URLs.
