Contify launched its first information product, Contify Banking, in March 2011. Contify Information Products are industry specific web portals featuring news and updates on company, financial market, government or policy developments across various industry verticals.

Based on custom-built business taxonomies, the information products come equipped with advanced search and filter functionalities. These taxonomies are developed by Contify’s editorial team and are aimed at enabling news consumers overcome the menace of information overload and quickly filter the news of their interests.

Contify uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms for text analysis. The NLP algorithms enable the extraction and logical linking of primary entities in taxonomies such as India specific industry terms and topics, names of companies, location, people, etc. in a story. Each story is then tagged with the related entities.

The days ahead will see Contify launch information products around sectors like energy, retail, automobile, investment, insurance and others.
